The local golf courses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast formed the Gulf Coast Junior Golf Foundation officially after Katrina’s impact in August of 2005. Its mission is to provide an affordable opportunity for junior golfers to showcase their golfing talents and receive local recognition, and learn the spirit, integrity and all the inherent life lesson of the game of golf.
